๐Ÿถ The digital revolution continues: The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and the National Digital System are launching a new notification service - from now on you can receive reminders directly to your mobile phone and email that the rabies vaccination deadline has arrived.

Timely vaccination, in addition to being mandatory by law, is required to maintain the health of pets and public health in general.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and the National Digital System announce the launch of a new service in the government personal area , which will help dog owners maintain the health of their dog and the health of humans. As a reminder, the Knesset's Economics Committee unanimously approved the Ministry of Agriculture's proposed rabies regulations, which stipulate that rabies vaccinations will be administered every two years instead of once a year as is currently customary. As part of the new service, citizens will be able to receive automatic reminders regarding the date of the required rabies vaccination for their dog, in advance of the relevant date for them, and according to the information contained in the government dog database.

The service, which is already available in the personal area, allows you to receive notifications via SMS or email. The system will send reminders two weeks before the required vaccination date. Registration for the service is simple through the government personal area , where you can choose your preferred method of receiving notifications.

Rabies is a dangerous, incurable disease that causes death in humans and animals. About 90% of people in the world who have died from rabies were bitten by dogs infected with the disease. Therefore, rabies vaccination is mandatory and essential for maintaining public health and animal welfare in Israel. The new service will help maintain animal health in Israel and make it easier for the public to meet the vaccination requirements required by law.

This initiative constitutes a significant pillar in the national effort to promote the digital revolution in the public sector and to improve the government interface and service for residents in Israel.
